Annette Garrett

Annette Garrett is a dedicated oboe instructor and a professional musician with over a decade of teaching experience in the Southeast Texas area. Passionate about nurturing the next generation of musicians, Annette has built a reputation for her engaging, student centered approach to music education. 

She holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Central Florida and a Masters of Music at Southern Methodist University. Throughout her career, Annette has performed with several prominent orchestras, including the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, San Antonio Symphony, Shreveport Symphony, and the Florida Philharmonic.  Her festival experience includes Chautauqua Music Festival and Eastern Music Festival, both known for their high artistic standards and focus on Orchestral excellence. 

For the past 10+ years, Annette has been a core member of the Brazosport Symphony Orchestra, Galveston Symphony Orchestra, and the Gulf Winds quintet, where she continues to share her artistry with local audiences. 

Annette and her husband have called Pearland, Texas home for the past 19 years, where they have raised their family and become deeply connected to the local community. Her commitment to performance and education continues to inspire students and fellow musicians alike.
